So i have a 120hz crt monitor that i have used before on another computer at 120 hz but that computer had a vga port on the graphics card. i now have a gtx 760 which has dvi-d, dvi-i, display port, and hdmi. im using this monitor with a vga-dvi-i adapter and the highest option for refresh rate that im getting is 85. i was able to "overclock" it to 90hz but i cant find anywhere online what would be limiting my refresh rate. is it the adapter? do i need a vga-display port adapter or will using an adapter at all cap my refresh?
