CRT vs LCD?

Wow I forgot about this thread that I made....hmm well thanks for everyones input and all (I'll probably go the LCD route)

As for the Pixels or not Pixels war...I think that fortyways is winning...

I think that's the way to go. CRTs after faster and have more colors, so they're better for people who are really into gaming and people who need color accuracy (graphic designers, etc.).

LCDs use about 1/3 the power per square inch. They don't produce radiation (though it's questionable whether the CRT's radiation is harmful at all anyway). They don't flicker, they take up less space, they look nicer, and they aren't expensive anymore. My 17" LCD was 500 bucks a few years ago. The picture is also sharper if you're using a DVI cable.
 
Do they still sell those CRT's?

If you aren't a gamer, and you are some chill guy who wants to surf on the Internet, just go for the LCD. It doesn't take much space, it looks nice and expensive. It gives you a different look of your desk.

Don't forget the energy consumption!
