That would depend on the exact LCD and CRT monitor, a CRT monitor can have just as high of a contrast and brightness as a LCD. My new CRT monitor(350$ to buy new, but I got it much cheaper used) has the normal brightness. Then there is a "Highlight" option and you can choose how much of a highlight to put on. (Different then brightness) and you acn atually select a box on the screen if you want, but you can also have it do the whole screen if you want the actuall light output to be higher, it can be setup so high that it hurts my eyes and lights up my room when no lights are on.gamerman4 said:they are brighter, have higher contrast
haha thanks... i was just thinking that! i prefer LCD because its more portable (i like LAN parties) it looks cooler, and its easier on my eyes. not to mention desk space and wall mounting is cool too! especially since my speakers feature that as well.[-0MEGA-] said:You're asking two different questions here. The poll says asks "What's plugged into your video card?", and the thread asks "What do you prefer, CRT or LCD?"
Well I have an LCD plugged into my video card, and I also prefer LCD since they take up much less room, and produce much brighter and overall better images.
