crt vs tft

easy question really what is better tft or crt, tft monitors cant do high resolution like crt can why's that or am i mistaken

The pluses of tfts: small footprint and no geometric distortions of the image.
The minuses of tfts: fixed resolution (usually lower than crts), the image looks differently at different angles, dead pixels.
