I just got my new mobo in, the one in my sig. I installed the mobo and just moved my HDD from my previous Gigabyte mobo. When I boot the computer up, I get to the Windows load and it's coming to the User Login screen vice booting straight into Windows. The problem I'm having is I have a USB keyboard and mouse, I'm able to use the keyboard to access the BIOS and can use it at any point except when the Windows login appears. I believe it has something with Windows taking over control of the USB keyboard but, my Windows doesn't have all the new mobo drivers installed so it doesn't have control over the mobo's on board USB ports. Anyone got any ideas outside of getting a hold of a PS2 keyboard and mouse or adapter. I've looked around but the best I came up with was a Joe Blow computer repair store wanting $35 for a PS2 keyboard that I don't really need nor do I want to pay that much for a very basic keyboard/mouse.

USB boards do work without drivers. I even have a wireless one that works straight out of the box.

99.9999% of mice and keyboards out there have the ability to be used with windows before it has even had windows booted before.

That's not working right now, like I said before, they work fine during boot up but once Windows start loading I get nothing.

OK, so I just left my computer at the login for about 15 minutes and now my mouse and keyboard are working letting me log in.
