Crysis 3 Beta thoughts

Ok, I know its beta, and I know its multi etc, but I was shocked (and then also not) that with my set up, I only get around 20FPS maxed out at 1080p (1 monitor).

FFS!
 
Did you download the beta drivers that were released for this beta? And did you only try disabling one card?

with that rig thats all you got? I wont even try to play it
 
i played it on very high setting with aa disable.
the,s are the fps that a get accourding to fraps.

Anything above low puts me at about that, might hit 30, doesnt make sense. Gonna update drivers in a bit i guess

Well GTX580 is certainly more powerful than a 7870, so Im not sure what is going on. Ill update the drivers and see if that helps.

I am pretty sure it is a driver issue there, as I ran it fine (for 1 round anyway, as I did not like the game) maxxed out at 1080p with 6970CFx, and your setup is far more powerful.
 
Yeah i think you're right wolfe, nvidia claims a 65% increase in SLi performance. That would explain why one of my GPUs was at 80% and the other at 13% during gaming. Ill test it now and report back.

pretty sure that was the increase for the new beta drivers made for crysis 3, so only in crysis 3

Went to update myself and first line of the updates thingy

next recommends the 560 or higher, and the 470 is on-par with it so i'm hoping to max it at 1280*960 or maybe shading on very with no issues.

Its pretty good, but its beta code so i expect optimisation and improvement. Having said that, its not that pretty. Im looking forward to the actual game in final release.
 
I think it looks amazing really, a couple little issues here and there but no complaints with graphics for me really. And same as you, the new drivers made my FPS WAY better
