Crysis 3 Beta

For all who don't know yet the Crysis 3 MP Beta is available on Xbox and through Origin today, what are your thoughts? :good:
 
It seems to me that Crysis is being "overdone". I mean i really enjoyed the first and second Crysis (favorite being crysis warhead).

I'll try it for the PC (orgin). Maybe some stunning graphics will change my opinion.
 
Yeah apparently the Xbox version is pushing the console to the max compared to other games, it looks ok but it's fun. To max it out on PC it's going to take at least an I7 2600k with a GTX 680 and 8gb of RAM. Oh and Nvidia released a beta driver for this game today as well.

Typical... nvidia again has a partnership with this game and will have advantage on it for the first days...

Anyway amd driver 13.2 beta7 is out.
I should be able to max it, if not, I trow my rig on the ground

I think you will be fine, I can't even play it @720p at lowest settings with my rig, I think it's time for an upgrade.
 
Hmm, 2gbs of ram and uber high end next gen game coupled with an old dual core, doesnt sound like it should work well, but the gpu should be fine still
 
Ran about 5 minutes maxed out on my system. Just another crysis game, and only multiplayer in beta. (i don't like multiplayer). :(
 
Yeah I don't like multiplayer to much either, but at least we get to try it out. Hopefully the story is good. I like how the game feels and plays on Xbox anyway, what do you guys think?
 
I am looking forward for this game due to the reviews of the beta. Graphics look stunning, but I was not sure about the gameplay, but after beta I am pretty sure.

Really tempted to go ahead and pre-order it on Amazon if that 20 off next purchase and free Crysis (1) is still active. Almost did on Origin cause you get a way overkill gun and yesterday i think i saw something about getting 10 bucks off your next 5 purchases, but don't see it any more.

And of course that deal is over now too and if i had known it would end i probs would have just ordered the damned thing already!!!!!!!!!! :angry:

The 10 off next 5 on origin is still active so might get that even though i never buy things from them, will probs contact amazon and see if there's any way to get their deal or if it will be back.

And figured out that AA and AF don't really make it look any better when you're just running around, so disabled them and now i am maxing the shading and particles and textures with a average around 40-45 FPS

What res are you playing at? Those are good frames, I get about 15 fps @ 1600x900 with everything on low, I'm trying to find a good used Phenom 2 chip or a good old core 2 quad and more DDR2 RAM, but it has proven hard so far.
 
1280x960, everything is on high but particles, shading, some other shading thing, and textures which are on very high which is the max in the demo, idk if the release will be any better.

And the amazon deal is still going with the 20 off next and free crysis 1, might order that in 1 min if i can't find a better deal, just wish i knew when it expired...
