Crysis and Nvidia 9800 GTX+?

I read on reviews.cnet that 47.1B fill rate, and 70GB/bandwidth is not enough to run Crysis at a playable framerate.

If you play Crysis, what video card are you running, what are your game settings, and how well does it run?

Thanks

my mate runs Crysis on his computer which has a 9800GTX+ and some stupidly big TV as a monitor lol...cant remember the resolution. But it runs it mostly fine on high settings.

I guess the only way I will know is to buy the game. Crysis has two versions?

IMO i would wait til may 5th, when the crysis pack comes out that has Crysis, Crysis warhead, and Crysis Wars for like $36. I run with all the regular settings cranked, 16x AF, no AA and get plenty playable framerates with my 9800gtx. AA though, turn that on and you instantly lose framerates.

my 8800GT's run crysis at 1440x900, V.High, 2XAA and i get around 35FPS with SLI, without SLI with same settings, 25/30FPS.
ok the 8800GT's aint 9800GTX's but there almost the same just lower clock speeds.

I heard Mirror's Edge might be the most graphic intense game out right now.
Would you agree or disagree?

Not sure about Crysis as I haven't played the whole thing, but I've played through Warhead (well, I'm near the end of the last level), on gamer settings on the rig in my sig just fine (1024x768.) I had to switch to mainstream on the level where you're on the train because that part is REALLY intensive, but the rest worked great on gamer if I'm remembering correctly.

You can always tweak the game. I messed around with the shading in the game so I get High/Very High visuals with low performance impact. It runs around High with 2xAA at 30 fps. But I have my card way overclocked.

I can run crysis at 1920x1080 all settings very high, 4xAA @ 40fps

And you have two 4870's in crossfire, OP was asking about a single 9800gtx+. As i said earlier though, 2x AA and full settings @ 1680x1050 runs pretty decently on my 9800gtx(not +).

I ran an eVGA 9800GTX vanilla card for about 6 months...played Crysis just fine. I could play everything on "High" with 2xAA at 1680x1050 res with no issues.

crysis makes my graphics card artifact with tose settings (but at 1440x900)...

I have to bump the fan speeds to 75%+ so that I can stay at a stable 75*....

IIRC the OP asked

My cards are in sig, and I stated what I can run the game at.

I wanted to hear all the different setups.

reviews.cnet.com considers anything less than 60 fps not playable lol.

We ran some rather aggressive benchmarks on these cards, and for the most part they held up well. The exception, as usual, is Crysis, on which neither card was able to achieve a playable frame rate. Even if the Radeon card was faster on that test than the GeForce, it's still only hitting 20 frames per second on 1,400x960, the lowest resolution we tried. Dropping the detail level down to medium and the anti-aliasing to 2x resulted in frame rates around 35 fps, but still well below the 60 frames per second hallowed ground.
