Crysis DX9 vs DX10

here's my opinion the dx9 version looks much better than any dx9 game i have seen and that satisfies me why go out and spend half a grand on a video card and $150 on an OS just so i can see a few more rays of sunshine?

... Well for me, I need to do heavy graphic organizing so I really need to spend half a grand to do my job, and correct me if im wrong, but if you had money to buy a DirectX10 supporting video card, which might come in handy in future games would you buy it? and it seems that you look down upon OS but to create a OS it take a long time,:P and its not to see few rays of sunshine, its the game that need to take the advantage of DX10...
No offense:D
and can I ask you something*OffTopic*
Is windows XP 64bit a good use for home computer?(If not im just installing vista on my sister's computer)I just have a OEM lying around my house..

actually i forgot to change that xp 64 for me was a major pain so i went back to xp home :P when i would plug my digital camera in it would take literally 2 minutes for it to show up in the OS and i had a lot of compatibility issues.

Thanks, Now ima go sell it for like 120 bucks :D

^^What?
Crysis is Vista's flagship game.

Yes, but only because of DX10. It doesn't actually need Vista to run (unlike Halo 2 which barely takes advantage of DX10 and yet won't run on anything other than Vista  )

Halo2 is dx9, only. Infact, there was one company recently that if you bought halo2 off of them they sent you a free cd that would allow you to play halo2 on xp.

Im sure they might do the same thing for crysis and dx9.

From all the sources Ive seen so far, no.

Once it gets closer to the release date/actual release then we might see some versions for xp. Much like with halo2.

EDIT: Found it. Here, here, and here. Even if you order from them they wont have the libraries out till july, meaning they could be lying and not even come out with them at all. If they do most likely the multiplayer wont work also. So dont get your hopes up for crysis to come to xp.

How reliable is your source now?

Well unless you have sound evidence to the contrary I will continue to believe (and hope for the love of god) that Crysis runs on xp. If it doesn't then I will probably cry.

that would be a horrible move by the game developers to make it only run on vista. They won't do that if they were going to then the game would only run on dx10 hence why they made it possible to run on dx9 not to mention MOST games that run on xp can run on vista. They are not stupid since vista is still new they will make it run on xp as well.

That sums it all up for me!
I think it would play on XP, they'd be stupid not to have it play on XP... I guess we'll have to wait and see :P
