So I was reading the tribute to Crysis Warhead in the August 2008 Edition of PC Gamer magazine, and read the blurb about the specs they played Crysis Warhead at.
The $653 Warhead Machine:
Shuttle SG31G25 - $239.99
Intel Pentium E2180 2.0GHZ Dual-Core CPU - $82.99
Samsung SH-S203B DVD Burner - $29.99
Hitachi Deskstar 7K160 160GB hard drive - $48.99
A-Data 2GB DDR2 SDRAM - $45.99
MSI GeForce 8600GT 512MB videocard - $94.99
Microsoft Windows Vista 32-Bit Home Premium - $109.99
Total - $652.93
This is next to the specs,
"To prove that you won't need a $10,000 ultra-high-end gaming rig to enjoy Crysis Warhead's enhanced visual effects. Crytek built its own machine capable of running the game silky smooth, with all the bells and whistles turned on. The cost? A measly $653 (priced through NewEgg.com). Here's what you'll need to build your own."
