Wow, I made these posts a week ago when the post function was down. They're just showing up now...

So a few questions about the video.

- I am assuming that the video is true in game footage. But as you all know crysis is based off of dx10. So in the video they have features supported by dx10 only. (or pretty sure they do, volumetric clouds ect) Don't we have acess to all the same hardware that developers do?

-This is the feature game for dx10/ vista so I don't doubt that they have acess to using the dx10 engine. What is getting to me is if that is truly in game footage what hardware are they rendering the game with. As far as I know there are no dx10 cards out, and 7900gtx & x1900xtx being at the top of the list.

Any insight on this would be great.

Thanks, Bob.

In the interview I posted before, the developers said that all the footage we've been seeing is purely DX9. So we've got even more eye candy on the way.

That is awsome.

If they are capable of getting graphics like that from dx9, what is it going to be like for dx10. Do any of you happen to know the new features that will be based off of dx10?

Also:
-I haven't heard of crysis supporting ppu (physical processing unit) or havoc/fx.

-I am guessing this game will support dualcore and 64 bit.

Later, Bob.

Probably since Far Cry got a patch which added full support for 64-bit processors.

in the interview link posted above:

'Will it be playable at E3 and do you have any firm release date yet?

Cevat Yerli: It will definitely be playable at E3 and we're shooting for winter 2006 right now. We don't have to wait until Vista ships either.'

Looks like they might have it out before Vista ships.

Which is a good thing considering the release date for Vista is very unstable right now. Especially for those of you who are in an EU country...

There was an article about that in PC Magazine, it shows the timeline for vista. When the first announced Vista in late '01, they said it will be shipped around mid-2003. Now look, lol

Yeah, and the most recent that I've seen post it in late 2007, but that was about a month ago, so who knows... :P

Well in late March of this year, there predicting that its going to be shipped to consumers in January 2007. But some businesses will get it November of this year.

Dang, he reveled alot of info.
I also can't wait for crysis to come out, the game has everything I've every wanted. And from what I've seen from farcry I have a feeling they will be able to pull most of it off.

Bob.

I actually heard that Crysis wasn't a sequel. It's supposed to be a similar game, but not a sequel. Unless I heard wrong.
I should read more than the first post before I say anything .
A better place to get videos and stuff about games from E3 is to go to www.e3insider.com its way better than gamespot.com dunno what else it has other than videos but theres a lot of stuff there.
