CS and DPB problems

Well, here it is, another Steam problem.

When playing DPB it will freeze all the time. Either at the choosing gear screen or right when a round starts. My computer is more then better to run these games so I am thinking something is wrong with steam. I have had no help on the steam forum so I am hoping my luck will change here.

check the file for a virus because it happened to a mates cs. did you download it from the steam engine?
 
I think I have run about every search you could do to steam. I downloaded it from their websight then it went to my steam list.
