CS:S problem

Okay, i have been playing CSS for a long time now, and now that im in college (uconn) i go to connect and the screen pops up as if the game was full when its not i press join, and nothing happens, also there are only like 800 servers compatred to the 4000ish i had at home, how can i fix this??? (my roommate can play 1.6 fine)

At home you had established a default account with the Steam:Source server. You may have to reinstall to relog onto your account since it was set for home not school use. Source can be a little touchy there. On a recent drive wipe it took awhile to initially logon due to loss of account data stored on the drive.
