how do you play counter strike source. why is it everytime you get killed you dont respwan like in battlefield 2 and you have to wait a long time before the game is over.
 
You wait until everyone on one team is dead. It can be seconds or it cam be minutes. However, every round has a time limit (usually 3 mins.) so its not that long. I thought it was wicked gay at first but then I got used to it and now its my favorite game ever.
 
You wait till everyone is dea, then you respawn, if you want a fast respawn game get Day Of Defeat, IMO i think DoD is a better game anyways, and there is only a 4-12secend respwan time :P
 
There's actually a Counter Strike Deathmatch server, where you respawn a few seconds after you die.

ok thanks. ya when i started playing it i didnt get it but am getting used to it now.
 
No, there is a deathmatch mod for CSS, its fun to play on when you get sick of waiting, plus you get all the weapons you want in those!!
 
ya css did suck at first since im so used to ut and bf and such but when its more strategic bcuz u dont just run out like an idiot and get mowed down and do it all over again.

Because real life isnt like that, so i assume they wanted a sense of realism to it.
 
Yeah, just when you bring up the server list put it in alphabetical order and there will be servers which first word is deathmatch so just join those.

can you keep the weapons even if you die or do you lose them. cause i know in halflife 2 deathmatch you lose most of the weapons you pick up when you die.

What actually happens is when you die you only have a pistol, but you can choose what weapons you want just my typing in something like "1-1-5" which buys you a machine gun. So you dont actually "lose" your gun, but you need to buy it again.
 
i have another question would it be possible to play countersrike source on a dell inspiron 2200 laptop with integrated graphics on low settings. it has a celeron m 1.4 ghz processor 512 mb of ram and integrated graphics.
 
idk... my previous laptop that was a 1.5Ghz Celeron M, 256MB DDR2, and 64MB Integrated graphics had trouble playing Counter Strike: Condition Zero @ 1024x768, im not sure if it would work well... or at all. But if you have the game then theres no harm in trying it out.
