out from curiosity.... say you have a virus and a hacker can get a hold of your computer..... you happend to leave your isp and got a new house with new isp..... but you still using that infected computer..... can the hacker still get a hold of your computer?

i would assume so...im not an expert or anytin like that. But lets have a scenario:

- u get a trojan horse
- u move houses and get a new ISP
- ur computer is still effin up because the trojan horse would send information from ur computer to its owner using ur new isp.

hope it helped

Depends on the trojan and its characteristics, but yeh its possible. The trojan could send out information to the attack periodicall including your public ip, thats all the hacker would really need then.

Yes. The thing is that the only safe thing to do when you are hacked is to disconnect your computer from internet and reformat your hard drive. Nothing else can be as sure fix for it, although you can try and delete them ( but for some reasons your computer cannot be trusted anymore after that).
