You were stuck with the SP1 release of XP I see. What I did when using the former installation disk here was to download the full 266mb SP2 and burn it to a cd-r to have onhand along with other things like driver updates and some MS to save the time at the update link. Good news hearing it went on without a hitch there however. Some are afraid of it.
