I have these disabled on the security settings on the internet options of my IE.
1. all activex controls
2. font and file downloads
3. drop and drop copy and paste
4. Installtion of desktop items
5. highest safety of software channel permissions
6. scripting
7. a lot more

I can still surf the net like iam doing now.
can any spy ware, viruses and other malicious programs can access my pc?

IE 6.0 is still vulnerable to spywares, adwares, viruses, and other things that can find a way on easy enough. Data miners get on by allowing first and third party "cookies"(data files) to be stored locally. But disabling them requires that you sign in with your user name and password at every security prompt for email accounts and forums as well.

some of those setting like logging in and cookies i enabled, i have no antivirus installed i will check my pc for threats next week.

You can download a few here now by going to the links. Selecting a good firewall is another method of blocking a good number things. But even those are vulnerable to certain things. IE 7 when the full version is released will offer an antiphising feature to prevent phising attacks by certain web sites. That's where data miners, trojan downloaders, and some other crap is copied onto the drive before you even know it. Try these few here.

AVG 7.1 Free edition, http://free.grisoft.com/doc/2/lng/us/tpl/v5 This one will spot more then just pc viruses.

Ewido and AdAware SE Personal catch what each other misses from what has been seen here often. For Ewido, http://free.grisoft.com/doc/ewido-anti-spyware-free/lng/us/tpl/v5

AdAware is found at http://www.lavasoft.com

In the event you find "something" new in the startup list or a new addon to IE 6 HiJack This is one tool often used to remove certain values in the system registry. You can download that at one of the links seen at http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/programs.php
