Custom vs. Premade

That prebuilt you linked is certainly a decent deal as far as prebuilts go. It can't beat a custom build though, in price and performance.

What you need to decide is whether you want an already made system or a clearly better custom system for about $300 less. That price of the prebuilt makes for one hell of a solid custom build. Unsure how you went about trying to make a newegg list.

and i really want a nice motherboard, would this work? Mobo

i can go higher on the motherboard if you can find one

Enjoy your double boot.

Also, the hard drive he picked is too expensive for 320GB, and it's a previous generation model. And it's retail.

You can get a newer 500GB OEM for about the same price.

Yeah get one of the Samsung Spinpoint F1 drives - simply awesome. In some tests that I have read, the 750gb model is faster than a Raptor!

the premade's graphics card has a 64bit memory bus, pathetic, i finally get what you guys are saying, the deal just looked so good...

I'm gonna go with everything kuzba picked out for me except for the psu, which ill use
i can go higher on the motherboard if you can find one

does anyway wanna check my build over? hahaha
i havent put a list together in ages.

if i were you id stick with the mobo i listed. Gigabyte P35-DS3L.
its all you need.

to everyone else... if he wants to game and he said he doesnt need it to be futureproof... do you reckon he should get an e8400 instead of a q6600?
