Well there's a few things which need highlighting.
You need to install everything into the case, power supply first, then motherboard, then CPU and cooler, then RAM, then hard drives/optical drives, then graphics card. You don't have to follow that order, but it's the order I do things in. You can do it in any order you like though, you'll get the same result at the end. I recommend installing the power supply first though so that as soon as it's installed you can plug it into the mains, touch a bare piece of metal in the case such as a screw and then you are grounded.
Once grounded you won't be able to destroy any components with electrostatic discharge. Try not to move too much once grounded because you'll build up a charge again, and try not to build your PC on a carpet or metal surface if possible. If you must build it on a carpet, don't rest things such as the graphics card and motherboard on the floor directly, but them on top of the cardboard box they came in whilst you wait to install them. If at any point you think you're no longer grounded, just touch a bare piece of metal again and you'll be grounded once more.
You plug the monitor directly into the graphics card. You install Windows 7 by starting up the PC once it's installed, then you go into the BIOS, make sure the computer is set to boot from CD/DVD, then you put in the Windows 7 disc and away you go. It's very easy and I'm sure there are guides/how to videos on YouTube you can watch to help you.
