cutting the case?

i'm thinking of adding an extra fan on my case...there's only 2 fans on the case and it's not enough...how would i go about cutting the case to add another fan

Have you looked properly into the direction the fans will blow the air in?

A shotgun would do it...

Hey man a shotgun would do it. :D . No but seriously, a dremel is a good tool or one of those circular saw thingies...I found that those are often used to drill the airflow holes into cases.

LOL! That's what I was going to say!!

Why not have one big hole on the side? Cheaper than having a transparent panel :D!!

Because:
1. It negates the core purpose of the case (shielding)
2. It wreaks air dynamics :)

LOL. You can put a fan almost anywhere....however, it should be placed in such a way that aerodynamics are fully taken into account. You can have many fans inside, but if they are blowing in a confused way, then the results could be disappointing.

Naturally ... the key idea is you dont want [1] pockets of turbulance or [2] two fans to play tug-of-war :)
