Dad's Going Mad About The Mount Of Time I'm Spending On The Internet.

Over the last 3 months I've been spending a lot of time going on forum sites like this one. Dad's been getting annoyed about how long I've been on internet for and they email him to say how much GB i'm using. The limit is 10GB. January was ok, February was 9GB but March was 11GB. They let him off the first time so he did not have to pay the extra £5. I'm worried now it's coming to the end of April and I've spent a lot of time on the internet again this month. This time wont be so lucky. He will go mad :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

I want to know if there is a website that will tell you how much GB I have used so far this month so I can monitor it. Also I'm on BT Broadband. Get 10GB per month for £20. Hope that information helps.:)
 
Here's a program that will help you monitor your usage: NetStatLive. There are many others, just do an internet search with your favorite search engine.

BTW, it would be difficult to reach 10G of data usage in a month reading and replying to forums. Are you downloading a lot of stuff or maybe streaming video or music? Those types of things are what rack up data usage. In case you don't know, data usage is a 2-way street, everything you upload as well as download, counts.

im on the 3 mifi dongle and that 15gb for £18

(even though its wireless dongle i can still game etc)

on topic though is there a log in page on bt's site to help you monitor, i know there is on all the dongles iv had im just wondering if its the same for proper internet
