I am building a computer but my budget is 1500 and it is 1700 with taxes and everything. Please tell me what to cut.

Intel core i7-920
ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 X58 ATX
EVGA GeForce GTX 275 Superclocked 648MHZ 896MB 2.376GHZ
OCZ Gold 6GB DDR3 3X2GB DDR3-1600
Zalman CNPS9900 LED CPU Cooler 120MM
NZXT Tempest
Western Digital Caviar Black 500GB 7200RPM
Corsair TX750W 750W ATX 12V 60A 24PIN ATX Power Supply

Forget the GTX 275 and go with a 4890, similar performace for significantly less cost.
You could get the P6T SE, but i don't know if it's cheaper or not.

If you switch to the se you would save $100 bucks and if you switched video cards you would save 30 bucks. I would keep your gtx275.
Everything else looks pretty good.

+1 Definately go with the 4890! Its performance is epic! I should know i have one ;)

You could switch to
RAIDMAX QUANTUM RX-700 700W ATX12V V2.2 / EPS12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready Active PFC SLI Power Supply - Retail
that would save 50 bucks and still have plenty of power

Where do you live?

With the components you listed, I get a total of $1318.92 before rebates.

I would downgrade your case for now, and skip the CPU cooler, and don't overclock for a bit. You won't need to anyway. :good:

Also, sacrifice the GTX 275 for now with a GTS 250 or ATI equivalent.

Here's my suggestion: ($1046.93 before rebates)

Intel Core i7 920 Nehalem 2.66GHz ($279.99)

ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 ($289.99)

OCZ Gold 6GB (3 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 ($131.99)

XFX GeForce GTS 250 ($124.99)

RAIDMAX Tornado ($39.99)

Western Digital Caviar Black 500GB ($59.99)

CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX ($119.99)

Agree with Boggadit, but the gts 250 is practically a clone of the 9800gtx and I think if you want to play crysis at a high resolution and some decent settings that you'd go with at a 4870 or 4890

Nobody ever said anything about wanting to play Crysis so not sure why you would bring that up.

The GTS 250 is an updated version of the 980GTX+, not a clone.

The point of this card was to save money, not to max out Crysis.

Take this, except switch out the GTS 250 for a 5850--you'll still be under budget, but it will be a much better setup.

When referring to the cards are the same...they are. The only difference is the voltage regulators which are now a bit more efficient allowing the card to run on a single pcie 6pin connector. Performance and the chip itself are identical.

I Highly recommend the 4890, or even now the 5850.

Also, id switch out the case, there is room in that budget for a good case like a HAF922, Storm Sniper, or Nine hundred two.
And id go with this memory:

Go to the bottom, my post. That's under $1500 shipped and taxed, with what you wanted. why are you posting again?? Read up on your posts before going to post new stuff about the same thing, please. Oh, and you should probably change the GTX275 to a different card that is better, but same price. I use www.tomshardware.com for when I compare stuff. Just click charts.

Cheers
Just to note... tomshardware's charts are usually consderably outdated. Just until recently they still had the 8800 ultra as the best card.

You could look into the new i5 and a p55 motherboard.
If you don't plan on going full x16 corssfire or sli.
