Dang, how bad is this? (Hot video card)

Well, in an effort to run my games more smoothly I have been using Coolbits for my video card. I had my memory and clock set up a few Mhz, at about half maybe less than my best overclock (didn't want to damage it or anything). I rarely game with it, so the card is normally not overclocked at all during the week, mainly a few hours over the weekend.

Anyway, after about an hour of playing Medal of Honor: Allied Assault on medium settings I decided to power down and see how hot my card really was (it doesn't have a sensor or fan). I placed my finger onto the heatsink and it was HOT, or at least very very warm. I almost couldn't hold my finger there longer than a couple seconds.

So, how bad is this really? If I'd kept on playing, would it "pop"?

not very bad....the pc itsself would shut off before the card fried or at least your games or monitor would get distorted....and its not bad for cards to get really hot mne gets to around 60C - 64C on heavy loads (thats 140 - 147 F) its surprising how much heat they can take....but if it worries you you could remove your outer case and maybe direct a floor fan in that direction but i really don't think its a problem

video cards will usually function well into high 90C's to low 100C's so if you can tough it without instantly being burnt badlly your ok.
