data hard drive, what is?

seriously i need to know. because the computer i am buying has a good hard drive but it said it did not have a data hard drive. is it relevant that i have one? or it just some sort of accessory?

As far as I know, all hard drives are capable of storing data. Correct me if I'm wrong. The bigger the hard drive, the more it will hold.

Could you show us the computer you are buying?

oh yeah sure. I will be getting it for free and will be able to upgrade it with my own money. (that means video card, 4gb memory, the works, but not an entire overhaul.)

what i assume is that is doesn't have any extra hard drives...you have the main one with your OS and the secondary one would be for just storing things(data)...so no extra hard drives..

makes sense, ill be buying another one. and if there isn't room ill just buy an external.

Tozer is correct. When customizing a prebuilt machine, often they will call one hard drive the "OS" or "Main" hard drive, and any extra hard drives "Data" hard drives. A computer can function perfectly well with only one hard drive, so it is nothing to worry about.
