data recovery company ?

good morning everybody , how can I try to retrieve data from my 2 broken hard drives , is there a company you recomend ? I live in downtown manhattan , I have a Maxtor 80gb and a LACIE 500gb and I have about 400gb in both HD combined that I would like to save, What cost can I expect ?
is there more I need to know about this problem ?

How much are you willing to spend for the data? You'll probably end up spending about a $1000 to get the data off.

Yeah its not cheap at all...they charge a horrible fee per file that not even porn is worth.


This is why I always suggest you buy say a 500GB drive for a primary...then buy a 500GB backup you plug in ONLY for back ups then power down (to avoid it dying)
