data recovery

my uncle accidentalyl overwrote a couple of important excel documents....

i don't know much about data recovery

but i told him not to use the computer till i can find a program

anyone know of any free quick data recovery programs?

or maybe a trial version thats 15 days or something he only needs it once!

If overwritten and not simply deleted then a program like Active Undelete won't help. The original data would have been changed to the new. The new replaces the old in that sense.
