I have all sata 2. Hard Drives and I wanted to see how fast Data is going from one drive to another drive when I copy a file.
So I ran HD Tune and I ran it on my secondary hard drive and the Max Data Tranfer speed was 144 MBps.
This is not even iDE speed so I called the Motherboad Tech. And when I go into the BiOS under SATA Configuration there are 3. settings
1. iDE
2. RAID
3. AHCi
And it is set to iDE so this is why my Data Transfer rate is 144 MBps and I don't wont to set it to RAiD because I don't want to use a RAiD setup I want to use all my Drives sepritly.
So they told me to swet it to AHCi. And I will be able to get sata 2 speeds from my drives and I want have to use the RAiD.
But I will have to set it to AHCi and then reboot and put the win xp pro CD in and reinstall win all over again. Then install the Drivers.
Before I do all this does this seem right??????
