Data Transfer Software

Can anyone recommend a good software to copy and transfer the data on my old HDD to my new one without making it its own separate partition?

I have Paragon Drive Copy, but it creates a new partition for the copied data .

You can either make a disk image to copy everything or you can use the "back up" program thing in windows.

You don't need a program for this. You just need to install the HHD in your computer and just copy the files you want over using Windows Explorer.

The thing is the main HDD I use to run Windows off of is the one I'm trying to replace.
So without having to reinstall Windows to the new HDD, is there a program that will make a image of the old HDD onto the new one without separating it into partitions.
That way I can boot Windows off the new HDD and keep all my files and still not have it divided into partitions.

Drive Copy creates two partitions, one with the image of the old HDD that can boot Windows, and another blank one with all the leftover space.
I'm trying to make this all on one partition.

I'm not sure about that, but there are partition management boot cds you can download and boot off of to combine the partitions.

Okay let me if I got this right. Your current drive has two partitions. 1 partition with your OS and other data on it and 1 partition that is just empty space. You want to combine these's two partions into one and then clone the drive to a new hard drive? If I have it right then use GParted to join the two partitions on the drive your coping from and then clone it. Or you could clone it then join the two partitions either way. Hope this helps.
