Data1.dat missing?

Hello everyone,

The problem is like this.

Everytime I started up my computer,the Command Prompt
come up and after I closed it,it stated that the Data1.dat
is missing?

I have deleted some spywares before that and I don't know
if I deleted some important file or what.

Is the Data1.dat file important? How can reinstalll it to
my Windows XP?

It's a remnant of a partially removed program. This could be Sims online or some spyware. Run Spybot first and see if the problem disappears or not.

So,is the Data1.dat harmless??

By the way,if I use SpyBot,is it safer that I have a
backup registry before I delete anything? Is
SpyBot easy to use??

It depends what Data1.dat was associated with. As for spybot -- try it. Anyone can tell you that its easy to use but only you can determine whether they are right or not
