Dawn of War wont start

im running windows vista ultimate, and whenever i try to launch dawn of war the game just does nothing. any idea of what i should do (its patched up to date)?

Does the latest patch say that it is compatibly with Vista for sure?

The patch mentioned nothing about Vista. I installed it after I tried to open up the game and it wouldn't respond. Im thinking ill just reinstall, and hope that my problem is fixed (the demo worked fine). thanks.

yes reinstall, are your video card drivers up to date?

most definatley. But Im not sure how good the support is for the 8800s on vista. at first it sucked, but ive updated a few times since then. thanks.

ok, so i updated drivers and patched the game, but now im getting an error message telling me my graphics card wont initialize. any idea what to do? ty.

you could right click on the executable, go to properties, and click on the "run as xp" button, or something.

Maybe it's Vista?
