dbx extractor

any FREEWARE extactor for dbx files ?
my colleagues messed up his outlook express now he can't even import his mails.
However i did download a program called OE-Mail recovery which reads the dbx but the darn thing is not free

Hmmmm i tried extrating messages from a databases and i got something saying "messages truncated due to " something
also when i save some messages, when i open them it's blank , nearly all of em, but i will try on all the dbx's maybe some dbx are corrupted

nopes still the same problem.
The dbx's are not corrupted i think the program cannot handle big files.
I've noticed that it can open the messages from within the program itself but when i click save messages i end up with a blank EML.

note that it gives today's date. That mail was 2007... strange
I tied saving it as a txt file which works but hey i've got a dozen of mails here, cannot sit down and save as txt.....

any other good program ?

nah does not work either but i know a work around.
Since Inbox is default, i will change the other folders name to inbox, so i can copy and paste mail to a folder, then do for the other databases, yes theres a dozen but thats the only way i can think off since other software are commercial
