i posted a forum and people were saying that if i get DDR ram i can double my meory frequency. Is this true?Right now i am running at 133mhz memory frequency. So will i be able to achieve 266mhz memory frequency if i get DDR ram. Also will this like possibly speed things up? For all HL Source Games, it takes my computer like 2 minutes to start running the game will this speed things up a lil or is that based on my CPU?

no wrong, if its DDR running at 133mhz, then it only PERFORMS like 266mhz. your motherboard needs to be compatible with DDR.
also id say a good defragment or even a hard drive upgrade (say to 7200rpm w/ 8mb cache) would do you better.

133 mhz indicates sd ram...which indicates no ddr...which indicates a motherboard that doesnt support what you would like to do.

a simple anology: all wheel drive. - when it snows, and your tires start slipping, you can put the car in 4 wheel drive, essentially cutting the amount of work in half. HOWEVER, this does not mean the car will go faster, simply that the work is spread out to multiple locations.
