DDR2 1066 on a DDR 800 board

I'm building a new comp for my friend who insisted on going for an amd proc, I've already bought the memory and it's DDR2 1066 (PC2-8500) but I can't find an AMD board that supports crossfire DD2-1066 and AMD procs

Is it possible to run DDR2-1066 on a DDR2-800 board?

Yes it will work, but it will run at DDR2-800. Why do you want to spend more though when it wont run at 1066?

you need to set the voltage and timings recommended on the ram else it will run at 800 by default.

Why not just tweak (notice how i didnt say OVERclock) it to its rated settings? As the person above suggested?
