DDR2 combined with DDR3?

You can't use ddr2 and ddr3 at the same time. And even then only certain motherboards even have both types of memory slots.

You can not mix and match DDR2 and DDR3. They are not compatible and are notched differently so they will not fit in the other's slots.

As long as they are the same voltage, timings and speed of the original stick, you should be ok.

Yea, yea can run either one. If they don't match your current memory, they will all run at the slowest module's speed. It's best to have modules that are similar in specs for the best performance.
