ivo122 New Member Sep 3, 2007 #1 i have ddr2 sdram. on categories when buying ram, they have sdram and ddr2. do i have ddr2 or sdram?
hermeslyre VIP Member Sep 3, 2007 #2 DDR2 is SDRAM. So it's both. SDRAM doesn't need to be DDR, But most if not all DRR DIMMs are SDRAM. when they say SDRAM as a catagory i'm assuming they mean non-ddr. So the correct cattagory would be DDR2 I suppose.

Cromewell Administrator Staff member Sep 4, 2007 #3 Generally if you see DDR, DDRII/DDR2 and SDRAM catagories they mean DDR SDRAM, DDR2 SDRAM and SDR SDRAM (the old 168pin stuff, PC100 and what not)
