DDR3 Ram problems

Hey guys, recently put together a new PC and am having ram problems.

Currently the PC blue screens under any load. If i use an in-windows ram test like burninpro it flags a whole heap of problems with the ram as it stress tests it.

So is this likely to be an actual ram problem or a configuration problem? When i originally installed the DDR3 ram it has in it I installed it as 1,3 and 2,4 then later noticed after some running problems that it should have been 1,2 and 3,4 as indicated by colour and the ab, ab numbering system. Could this have wrecked it?

Is there anything else i could try? I will run the test with each individual ram stick tonight

error i am getting is 0x000004 have tried two fresh windows installs and a bunch of different drivers.
 
Hey, i've tried to do this a number of times, I've used ISO burning software I've tried using the microsoft supplied software too but none of the discs i create will boot. That said the XP CD i burnt boots fine (used the same ISO burning software).

So i'm stuck with in-windows tests
 
The file I linked you to is an ISO file. That means you just can't burn the file to a cd and boot to it. You actually have to use software that can burn image files like IMGburn, nero, roxio. That may be your issue if you are just burning the file to the cd.
 
Yeh that's the one I've tried, I've used two different ISO burning apps I'll try another

Do i finalize the disc? presumably yes?

Just tried to burn to USB stick (using the memtest USB stick creating app) and no luck there either... Even though i told it to boot from UEFI. I've had a heck of alot of problems with this motherboard, have never had so much difficulty getting things booting! it's a P8H67-M asus board

EDIT! Just used burnintest and on the second stick of ram it came up with errors (hundreds of them in the first minute)

whereas the first stick didn't (after 5 mins), this should be proof enough that it's the second stick that is erroneous right?

Yeah, just make sure you test all sticks of memory. Memory issues can cause burning issues as well, thats why you should always use a different computer to burn with if you know you have memory issues.
