Dead Mouse- eww...lol

my mouse on my HP computer stopped working randomly. i unplugged it, replugged it back in, bought another one...nothing worked. i restored the drives and that didnt do anything. any suggestions would help. im lost. could it be the mouse driver??

Is it a PS/2 port or a USB port. If it is a PS/2 port than the port might be fried or something. If it is a USB port try another USB port.
