How do I know if I have any dead pixels in my 24inch monitor

you'll say "WOW, look at that dot on my screen........"

pretty much anyways. they can be different colors sometimes. depending on the color of the dead pixel they will show up at different times as background colors change. sometimes u may not even notice one.

this is a little program that you can use

Just cycle through all the colours and see if you can find any dots that are different colours or not working at all.

A dead pixel will be black, it's not fixable. However there are also stuck pixels, pixels that stay a certain color. A stuck pixel might be cured by rubbing the spot on the LCD, or by using a program that flashes many colors on the screen. The latter of those methods not ideal as it can create even more stuck pixels.

1. I have rubbed 1 pixel on my Acer LCD and it fixed it... Rubbing is fine as long as you dont make another pressure spot.

i had like 5 of those on my samsung, i just brought it back to best buy

they come back, i dont like rubbing them out
