Dead USB drive

I have got few USB drives I pulled out of Macbook without ejecting first.

Now it will not show up on macbook and it will not format in windows.

When trying to format in windows, it just hangs.

Is there a way to resurrect these USB drives?

Not ejecting them shouldn't make them unusable. At worst, there might be some corrupted data. If you use disk management or some other kind of partitioning tool can you delete and recreate the partition on them?

Disk Management usually just shows a white page until I unplug the usb drive. other programs are the same, it just can't format it.

What if you use a different tool, like booting with a gparted disc or something?

I got 3 out of the 5 usbs that were not working. I low level format them all and 3 is working. The other two says I can't access the drive even though I can reformat them.

The other 2 might be toast then.
