Debate with Professor PCI vs Integrated

Alright, so a little background...there was this question:

Which slot types are used by modern, high performance graphics cards? (choose all that apply)

a) PCI-Express
b) AGP
c) PCI
d) ISA

Now, I selected A, B, and C...but my professor says only A & B are correct. I know A & B are better than C, but my argument to him was that PCI when compared to integrated graphics on systems with no AGP or PCI-e slots would be "high performance" in comparison. He claimed that this wasn't the case...so am I completely wrong or are integrated graphics just as good as standard PCI slot graphnics cards?
 
It depends.

The best PCI card out, i beleive is the radeon x1550 256mb, blows away all integrated graphic chips, Most of the newer PCI cards are better than integrated chips hands down.
 
PCI and ISA are incredibly slow compared to AGP & PCI-E but not sure If todays graphics cards are too fast for AGP 8x yet.

Modern graphics cards = Ones that came out 6 months ago or less.

Onboard video will use AGP or PCI-Express depending on the board age and what not. However, a graphics card is only as fast as it's bus, and then only as fast as it's GPU.

Well since the question stated (Modern High Performance) then A and B is the answer and by today standards B just barely makes it in.
 
If it was only modern, then all 3 applies, there are still boards with only PCi express slots (on really cheap computers). But when it comes to high performing, there's no way you can consider a PCI card high performing.
