Sorry that's all the specs i have since this is a used laptop deal. I know AMD's generally run hot and well the atom is the complete opposite, what do you guys think?

The HP comes with the AMD 1.8ghz "dual core" is what they told me backed up with 3GB ram and 120GB hard drive.

The mini 9 comes with the 1.6ghz atom w/ 512 but new.

mini 9 @ 250, HP @ 320

This laptop will be used for school as well as some casual low end gaming (cstrike or something).

Any thoughts/comments?

so the hp is used, and the dell is new? tbh, the dell with 512 sounds like a fail boat. find out if it can be upgraded. if it cant, it really isnt worth it. especially single core vs that hp which is dual.

Hey thanks for the fast reply, the dell can be upgraded to 2gb unlike my past laptop (msi wind)

idk. its a matter of whether or not you want to **** around before you have something perfect. the hp seems like itll be great coming from someone else. that dell will take some more ram to get it working like the hp.

Yeah depending on the shape of the used laptop versus the new one, you should be able to tell which is better. I would definitely make an assessment based on quality and performance, rather than performance only.
