decent agp card for gaming

ok so i bought never winter nights 2 and my current card keeps freezing it. i think i currently have a nvidea 6600 and i want a decent card that wont break the bank but will let me run most new games on close to high... im not at my comp but i will list my comps stats next time i am at home if its an important thing.

honestly both ATI and nVidia are good its just Nvidia have the best cards at the moment with the 8800 Ultra.

But obviusly he wont want the best because he wants AGP.
 
I would get either a X1950XT or Pro for AGP. I know that GeCube currently have a whopper of an AGP X1950XT out at the moment. It's by far the best AGP card, but like the guys have said, what's you max budget? And at the end of the day that XT will be no good if you only want to play one game.

FYI, the entire 16xx line of are beaten black and blue by the 7600 line (with the exception of the 1650xt). Even more so that they are a similar price. We recommend the 7600's over the 1600's because they rock harder is all..:cool:
 
Don't forget. He's Talking about AGP. Computer could possibly be old, with an older/weaker powersuply. Upgrading to a bigger card my require upgrading his PSU too.
 
dont get a ati i got a x1650pro and i ws so excited when i got it it was power hunger really loud and in games didnt see graphic differnce by much from a geforce 7300 get anything geforce but something better then a 7300 if you wanna play that game maby a geforce 6800
