Decent Barebone For 300

Ok, all I need is a 1.) case, 2) a motherboard, 3) ram, and 4) a processor. My parents PC is acting up(im thinking motherboard), so I figured id take there G card, power supply(already upgraded), HD's and Dvd drive out and do a swap. Id like something I can OC for em. That way its faster without having to pay more .

You could go AMD... I got my 2.6GHz 64 X2 5000+ for around $60 and it overclocks to 3.1GHz quite nicely on my mobo with the stock cooler. Apparently that Pentium CPU oc's nicely, but if you're not going to do any overclocking I'd go with AMD... I just don't like Pentiums.

that ram has no need to overclock, it will work at a 1:1 ratio at an fsb of 2132mhz...

Yep, it running at 1GHz is fast enough. The ram on my current setup doesn't even run at 1k even though its supposed to.

Hes not wrong! You can get more stock speed out of an AMD for the same money. But, that intel with a cheap aftermarket cooler will probably hit mid 3ghz easy. Your choice, no wrong decision here.
