Decent, but cheap PC help

Hey can you guys do me a huge favor? I'm looking to build a VERY cheap but decent PC. All I want to do is watch DVD's from it......it is going to be hooked up to a 32" HD TV, play a few games, nothing special the highest end game requires 800mhz bus speed and surf the net. I already have a 600 watt PSU, HD, Optical drives and case, so I dont need those.

The reason why I'm looking to get off as cheap as I can is because this is going to be put into a garage......................so god only knows what might happen to it :).

Any help would be great

For what you are going to use this for, I think you would be better off buying a seperate DVD player and an xbox. Why spend 4 or 5 hundred on something that you really have no need for.

 How do you get 400-500 for a Motherboard, Ram, Processor and a decent video card? I cant surf the web with an Xbox, thing is I also need this to fill customer orders and order parts as well.

I doubt it'll be 4-5 hundred if he already has the psu, case, hdd, and optical drives..

Also, is the case/psu atx? (I'm assuming so...but you never know...)

Assuming its atx...I'll put together a build

Do you want/prefer dual cores? The processor I'm looking at with dual cores is $75, and the single core is $43 (both operating at 1.6Ghz)....the dual core also has more L2 cache...you decide if its worth it or not (for your uses)

HD's are both IDE and Sata, Optical drives are IDE and I have some PC3200 ram, but I'm probably going to need something different for the new PC.

how much ram do you want? 512? (1 gig should prob. be enough with all you're doing with it....)

Do you have an OS?

^no prob. but liek I said you might want to let someone check over it first....(mostly the micro atx mobo in an atx case)

Yeah, but I'm pretty sure it will fit because is tons of stand off's all over the case. How do you think a eVGA e-GeForce 7100 GS 256MB PCI-E will work for movies?

Fine...but even the integrated video should work if all you're doing is watching movies...I wouldnt even put money into a video card.
