Deciding on a video card

Which is best for the money/price?

I have someone interested in my 7600GS, and im looking for a card thats a bit more powerful, but im on a very tight budget. I also have a $75 gift card I want to use.

Which of these would you recommend, taking in consideration the price.

I cant decide between the 7800GT, x1650XT, or x1900GT.

The X700Pro would actually be a downgrade from your 7600GS. At those prices, my pick is the 7800GT for the best value card.

I know it would, but its also much cheaper.

And looks like the 7800GT will be the best value.
 
I also picked the 7800GT. At only a bit more than the 7600GT, it is a deal. Where are you buying it from.
 
haha thats the conclusion i drew when i messed around with my friend's E6600 raptor raid, 7900GT machine


i'd go with the 1900GT its a good value, u can get it open box for $130
 
I would go with the 7800GT. Only $136, and if you ever use linux, you won't have to use ATI's crappy drivers!
 
The only downside is that the 7800GT is a recertified card, while the 7900GS is a brand new card.
 
Thanks for all your opinions guys, but I pretty much have decided to get the x1900GT.

It's an additional $10 off now, so it's only $155, and I will be able to use it with our folding team :)

Just wondering, I noticed you have almost 1000 WU's, but your points arent insanely high. Does the GPU folding fold shorter WU's then the processor based ones?

Basically im debating between the x1900GT and the 7900GS. But because the x1900GT is cheaper, gets better FPS in most of the games I play, and can be used with F@H, I think i'll stick with the x1900GT.

You can volt mod any card, but I wouldnt do that, mainly because it would be harder to sell.
