However, i've never put a computer together so I have some questions before I commit to any sort of purchase! Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Q: How do I decide what power supply I need? I'm very afraid of short circuiting anything.
Q: Is a case that only supports 1 80mm Fan enough to keep my gaming system cool?
Q: If I get a case that has an eSATA port my motherboard has to have a spare sata cable to hook up to the case's port, correct?

First of all the power supply is enough as it has 20amps on both 12v rails, which is really nice to have for the 4850. The whole system works except the case, the case is kinda corny.. Look into a different one say an Antec 900 or tell me your budget for case i could then help you. If the case comes with an esata port you would need an extra cable to use that end, but the motherboard itself comes with an esata port on the back panel. Overall great system should be good! Oh and forgot , no 1 80mm would not cool it down. It would probably do about 20-30% of the cooling max. But thatd is fairly hot especially if you look into overclocking!
 
I don't plan on overclocking. Shouldn't the card I have now allow me to play all the games out now on max without any issues? I mean i'm choosing my setup so that all the expenses go into having good gaming capabilities. How much more graphic intensive can these games get? =P
 
If your talking about Crysis that'd be a tough one to max out. The setup you are using should play high to very high smoothly high no AA 40-50 fps, very high 20-30fps around there. Enthusiasts is the hard one to overcome, your setup should barely play it on that setting. overall dont really need to play on Enthusiasts!
 
Oh nvm about maxing. High is good. I've been playing low setting for all my games for awhile now (2 years) and it sucks. I'd be happy with any sort of improvement. I just hope that this LASTS. It looks like I still have a little more in my budget.. should I improve anything, add anything? Or even trim some fat somewhere?
 
Ah.. I forgot. I'm going to need an OS wont I. Forget having space in my budget. Where can I get a deal on Vista? I have a CD from dell for my laptop that will let me install XP. But I think it only works on dell computers.

Hmmm not sure about Vista deals but i think that cd should work on all systems. Does it say only for Dell? How much do you get paid weekly or fortnight or if you even work?
 
I'm a college student so I don't make much. I'd rather not drop 200 (it'd be the most expensive thing within this build!). The cd says its only for dell computers but I don't know how it would be able to tell what's dell and what isn't. I'll figure it out..

So I guess my build is finished! I think i'll purchase it today. My last question is whethere I need a network card to get on wireless internet!
