I'm deciding on whether to overclock my FX-51 up to 2.45 ghz but then again i'm just afaid that i might fry it. So can anyone give my some advice? By the way I read on GamePC.com that they overclocked there's up to 2.45 ghz with a stock copper AMD cooling solution on a SK8V mobo (I have a SK8V). But I just want to double check and hear from ya.:)

Read the overclocking 101.

Generally there are no hard and fast rules for over-clocking. However one straw broke the donkey's back!!!
If you must do it; remember that this VOIDS all warrenties, and shortens the life of all the other components.
If you want FASTER, try upgrading...

wheres the fun in that?

Pretty much the only time you could fry it is if you raise the voltage too much, if you just raise the FSB or the multiplier, then there shouldnt be a problem.

What is the FX-51 running at stock?
