Decrease RAM usage

That would be a bad idea-- the flash memory used in USB sticks has very limited number of writes to it.
I get your point and understand your point but do consider I can get a 16GB SDHC for $25? I thought I mentioned limited writes in my major post relating to SSD's.

I guess maybe I am old fashioned but when you hit a million writes then push a billion I start to not care?;)

I really don't know what to say?

Here is me not reading the rest of the thread,

But also USB flash memory sticks are very slow (8mbps read/write) compared to IDE HDD getting about 30mbps read/write (sata is 50mbps). Your best bet is to get an IDE to CompactFlash adapter and use that as pagefile. CF is cheap and easily replaced when it goes out, and its fast as hell (beats SSD read/write speeds in the 300mbps range).

Anyway, or get 8gb of ram and turn your page file to 16mb, so pagefile will hardly get used (except for crash dumps and the like).
