Deframenting Question

I defraged my HD yesterday, but when I came back that morning, I had a notice that certain files could not be defragmented, all of them were in the World of Warcraft folder, under data (I think it was Patch.MPQ Expansion.MPQ etc etc) Does anyone know how I could "stop" those files, and defrag them, they have quite alot of fragments on them. and I think it would help my WoW game run better. Am I right in thinking that?
 
If it didnt work in safe mode, then i would reccomend just reinstalling the game. I dont know why the defragger wont do it. Try Diskeeper 2007 also, it might work.
 
Yeah I was thinking of a third party defragger, but is there a risk that the program will move some files and make the game unstable? Just a thought.
