i have a program in my control panel (other pc) called CSNW and, its preventing me from accesing the logon options, how can i delete it?
it says to delete CSNW before i can logon and off the quick way
its not in add/remove programs either
it's on a diff comp, not this one

i used to be fluent with dos. not no more because of of windows just being easier. i will suggest something though.

reboot system and hitting 'F8', when the menu comes up then reboot to dos mode. work your way to csnw. look at explorer and find out where it installed at. i suspect c:/program files/csnw.
change directories to program files
from dos del csnw /s/f

'S' switch is for including sub directories.
'F' is for force including read only.

you can see the switches and protocol del /?

you might be able to to this from the dos prompt anyway in windows.
programs, accessories and dos prompt.

Well do you know where is it placed?
If you do, switch to safe mode as stated and just delete all the files/folders connected with it.
If you can't find it ( don't know where is it ), then...
Let's try this.

  • Open HijackThis.
  • Click on Open the Misc Tools section.
  • Look under System tools.
  • Click on the Open Uninstall Manager... button.
  • Click on the Save list... button.
  • It will prompt you to save. Save this log in a convenient location. By default it's named uninstall_list.txt.
  • Notepad will open. Please copy and paste the contents of this log in your next reply.
See in this link details.

Oh, it's not on the uninstall list. Yes, that means you can't remove it that way.
You have to go to safe mode and uninstall that one.
Print out these instructions or save them into a notepad on your desktop, because you will not have internet access while in Safe Mode.
You can go in Safe Mode by restarting your computer, then continually tapping F8 until a menu appears. Use your up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode, then hit enter.
Now go to Control Panel and uninstall the program.
Please tell us did it work!
